HOW DOES AIR CONDITIONING WORK?

HOW MUCH DOES IT COST?

This is a very broad question, and of course depends on your requirements. We genuinely supply quality units from 495 euros including installation and taxes. Please contact us to discuss your individual requirements.

WHAT IS AN INVERTER?

Most people assume (and are sometimes told) that an inverter is a unit that can provide heat as well as cold. This seems logical but is not the case - almost all units do this these days. An inverter is essentially a unit which will run at variable speeds. A standard "on - off" unit will regulate the required temperature by switching the compressor on and off, much in the same way as a domestic fridge. An inverter will regulate temperature by varying the compressor speed, slowing down when temperature is achieved. The theory behind this is that less energy is used maintaining a temperature than constantly achieving it, thereby using less electricity. Whether an inverter is right for you really depends on your circumstances.

AIR CONDITIONING UNITS ARE SO UGLY - WHY?!

Fair enough, we'll concede that they are not the prettiest things to have hanging on the outside of your house, though they are a common sight in Spain and you do get used to them. However, the installation can make all the difference. Whilst we obviously have to consider the effectiveness when siting a unit, we will also consider the asthetics to make the installation as neat as possible.

I ONLY WANT ONE UNIT OUTSIDE, BUT WANT MORE THAN ONE ROOM AIR CONDITIONED - IS THIS POSSIBLE?

Certainly it is - any unit with more than one internal unit to one outside unit is called a multi-split. There are advantages and disadvantages to these systems which we will be more than happy to discuss with you.

I HAVE PRE-INSTALLATION IN MY HOUSE - WHAT DOES THIS MEAN?

This means that the pipework and sometimes cable has been pre-installed when the house was built. There are usually two types of pre-installation in houses in Spain. One is for split wall units - you will have plates in the wall of the individual rooms behind which is the pipework etc for connection of the internal wall units. The other is for a ducted system which is usually installed in the ceiling (one of your rooms will normally have a false ceiling for this purpose) with vents exiting to each room. In both cases the pipework should exit outside for connection of the exterior unit. We will be more than happy to visit you to inspect your pre-installation and advise you accordingly.

HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO INSTALL?

Obviously this varies by installation but most jobs can be completed within a day.

HOW CAN I PAY?

As a legal company we accept a number of different payment methods, be it cash, cheque, credit card or bank transfer.

I HAVE A PROBLEM WITH MY AIR CONDITIONING - DO YOU OFFER A REPAIR SERVICE?

Yes we do. We can a repair a wide range of units, and if it is a brand we don't deal with we can usually offer the relevant service numbers. We offer a "no fix no fee" service - if we don't successfully complete a repair we charge no call out fee.
